COVID-19 Clinic Policy Updates

COVID-19 Clinic Policy Updates

Changes start June 13th

The Ministry of Health (MOH) revoked the mandate on masks in some health care settings as of June 11, 2022.  They mentioned that some directives will be communicated to replace the mandate which will provide us with a framework on best practices moving forward.  They have also allowed organizations to create procedures that work best for their staff and patients.  With that being said, I'd like to outline our new protocols moving forward, while expressing these new protocols may be subject to change once the MOH and CMTO release their new framework.

If you would like to see the full communications regarding the MOH directives, you can do so here.

Masks:
Moving forward, masks will not be mandatory and I respect your personal choice in wearing one. I appreciate your patience in the past 2 years as I understand how they can cause discomfort during treatment, especially when laying face down. You are welcome to remove your mask at any point during your appointment as well.

This could look like, wearing a mask:

  • As we have been for the entirety of treatment.

  • Only while laying face up.

  • Or not wearing one at all.

I will continue to wear a mask for the time being while monitoring the infectious rates. At minimum, I may greet you without a mask however once treatment begins I will be wearing one.  I may also adjust my personal mask usage throughout the cold & flu season as well.

If you are more comfortable with mask wearing, and would feel more at ease if I am as well, I welcome you to let me know.

Sanitizer & Hand Washing:
Sanitizer will remain available for you if you'd like to use it, in our current clinic as well as the new one.

Screenings:
Screenings will continue to as they have been.  I ask that you continue to self-screen for any infectious illness in the days leading up to your appointment.  Please let me know as early as you can regarding cancelling any appointment for illness, as this allows me the chance to potentially offer your appointment to someone else in need.

If at any point you have any questions regarding our clinic’s policies and procedures regarding COVID-19 please feel free to ask at your next appointment or reach out via email.

Again, I am sincerely grateful for your understanding and support throughout the last 2 years. I hope we are able to move forward with continued understanding, grace and love in our hearts.
