Registered Massage Therapy
Massage therapy consists primarily of hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, specifically, the muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints for the purpose of optimizing health.
Massage therapy treatment has a therapeutic effect on the body and optimizes health and well-being by acting on the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems. Physical function can be developed, maintained and improved; and physical dysfunction and pain and the effects of stress can be relieved or prevented through the use of Massage Therapy.

Cupping Therapy
Massage Cupping is the combination of massage movements and negative pressure with the use of a suction device on the skin. A cup is positioned at the area to be treated and, depending on the type of cups being used; a vacuum is created within the cup to draw the skin and underlying tissue into the cup. The produced vacuum creates a suction effect that increases blood and lymphatic circulation systemically and to the local area, relaxes muscle tissue and support, draws stagnation, and releases a myriad of pain causing factors.

Aromatherapy & Essential Oil Massage
Aromatherapy massage is Swedish massage therapy using massage oil or lotion that contains essential oils (highly concentrated plant oils).
During an aromatherapy massage, you inhale these essential oil molecules or absorb them through your skin. They are thought to promote beneficial changes in your mind and body by affecting the limbic system, a region of the brain known to influence the nervous system.

60 Mins: $87.00
75 Mins: $100.00
90 Mins $115.00
*initial treatments will be 60 minutes in length and will include assessment, discussion and hands on treatment.
Student/Senior rates are available upon request (attending full time school or 65+ years).
All fees subject to 13% HST
The following can be added to your treatment (at no additional cost) upon request: essential oils, cupping therapy & dynamic taping. Hot Stone Massage Therapy: suspended until further notice. Massage Therapy treatments can be covered under private insurance policies, please review your policy for your specific coverage details. Accepted payment types: Debit (TAP ONLY), Visa, MasterCard, American Express, G Pay & Apple Pay. No direct billing at this time.
Online Booking Policy
When booking online, some personal information will need to be obtained. Please be sure to include your preferred email address, as all initial paperwork will be sent to this address, please be sure to fill out this paperwork prior to your treatment time to allow for efficiency. This information will not be seen by anyone other than the RMT or its employees and used solely for the purpose of booking and treatment. You will also be added to our newsletter and promotional email list, if you do not wish to receive these emails please click unsubscribe from those emails.
Cancellation policy
Since specific appointment times have been scheduled for your Massage Therapy Treatment with Rivers RMT, arriving promptly will allow for the therapist to assess and treat you for the fully scheduled time.
Late arrivals may receive treatment for only the remainder of the appointment time scheduled, this includes all intake and assessment that is necessary to provide a safe and effective treatment. Please note you are financially responsible for the full scheduled treatment time. We will strive to accommodate when possible as we understand there are extenuating circumstances. Reminder emails are scheduled 2 days prior to your scheduled appointment, however should not be relied on as you are responsible for your scheduled appointment in the event of technical difficulties.
Cancellation Notice
We have a 24-hour notice of cancellation policy. If for any reason you are unable to make your scheduled appointment time, please contact the clinic as soon as possible via phone or email. If we are not notified at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment you will be responsible for 50% of the scheduled appointment fees. In the event of no notice has been given and the scheduled appointment is missed you will be responsible for 100% of the scheduled appointment fees.
