The Massage Therapy Podcast has teamed up with Mark and Amanda from 2 Massage Therapists and a Microphone once again for this bonus episode for you. Even though we are currently on a recording break as we (Nicole & Heather) prepare to move their practices to a new location, we had to get behind the mic again after the latest fee announcement from the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (May 2022).
We sat down and did a collaborative interview with Krista from The Radical RMT. Listen in as we discuss our backgrounds, what lead us to Massage Therapy and our WHY!
PART 2 - Where we discuss (read: get off our chest) topics based on our own experiences. To kick it off we are discussing our ups and downs while working within multidisciplinary clinics, as an RMT employee, as well as our transition into being our own bosses.

You could say this was our driving force to start the podcast as we have heard from colleagues and the general public alike refer to this type of therapy as "fluff". Tune is as we discuss our perspectives on whether or not "relaxation massage" is a viable treatment for clients.
In Episode 2, Heather and Nicole discuss Pain; what it is, why we feel it and how, we, as manual therapists approach it. We mostly focus on chronic pain and how it is predominantly a main focus in both our Massage Therapy practices. We are Registered Massage Therapists in Ontario, Canada. Combined, we have over 13 years of professional massage therapy experience and we are both female small business owners who have a passion for health and wellness.
